AVIA 272 Instrument Pilot Lectures II

FAA Certified Instrument Flight Instructor let discussions completing the requirements of 14 CFR Part 61.65 – Aeronautical Knowledge.

Study of VOR, NDB, RNAV, and ILS instrument approach procedures, the US Global Positioning System (GPS), and weather factors for instrument flight including hazards, reporting, forecasting, graphical weather products, and weather sources.

Instructor-led discussions concerning aeronautical decision-making (ADM), crew resource management (CRM), aerodynamics, airworthiness, instrument flight planning, abnormal/emergency procedures during instrument flight, aircraft performance limitations, and aircraft systems.

Course will also include a comprehensive study of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing the applicable parts and subparts to the instrument pilot rating. The final exam for this course will be the FAA Instrument Airplane (IRA) Knowledge Exam.
