AVIA 271 Instrument Pilot Lectures I
FAA Certified Instrument Flight Instructor led discussions introducing the requirement for 14 CFR Part 61.65 – Aeronautical Knowledge. Study of aircraft flight instruments and displays, instrument interpretation, instrument navigation, instrument publications, instrument departure, enroute, and arrival procedures, and introduction of instrument approach procedures and charts. Instructor-led discussions concerning instrument rating requirements, aeromedical factors, airport operations, Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, ground based and satellite-based navigation systems, and aircraft systems. Course will also include an introduction to the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing the applicable parts and subparts to the instrument pilot rating.
