Because of the close relationship between computer science and computer information systems, CPTR 141 and CPTR 142 are considered business electives for purposes of the business administration minor. Due to the unique nature of the professional curriculum of the engineering degree, CPTR 141 and CPTR 142 taken to meet the requirements of the BSE degree are considered cognates and therefore can simultaneously be counted toward the credit requirements of a business administration minor.
