Additional Costs
- Residence hall rent: Summer Advantage students taking courses on the College Place campus must live in the residence hall unless an exception is approved by the office of Residential Life and Housing ($143 per week)
- Meals: weekday noon meals are available at the SAC: students may also charge food items at the Express mini-mart (see Cafeteria) (a la cart approximately $70-$85 per week)
- Textbooks (approximately $325-$375)
- Course fees if applicable (music lessons, aviation, etc.; see online class schedule)
- Miscellaneous expenses
All tuition, fees, and housing costs are due at registration (see Academic Information). Other charges are due when billed. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards are accepted, but are charged a 1.75% convenience fee.
No fee applies to debit cards, electronic-checks, cash, or paper checks.
Online financial clearance is required by 4 p.m. on June 24 (see Academic Information). Financial clearance may be arranged after June 5 through a student’s myWWU account or through Student Financial Services at (509) 527-2815 or (800) 656-2815 or
stufin@wallawalla.edu.
Job opportunities may be available on campus for students who wish to work (see On-Campus Student Employment). Advance arrangements are recommended, as job opportunities are limited. For a summer student taking a full academic load, a reasonable workload is 8–10 hours per week.
