Language Minors

Students may minor in the following languages as available through Adventist Colleges Abroad affiliate programs (ACA): Arabic, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. For French and Spanish minors, the introductory sequence is available on the WWU campus.

Note: Without prior language experience, students should plan to spend an entire school year in residence at the ACA school to develop proficiency in the chosen language.

Electives: Must be taken in a single foreign language beyond the first elementary level course, or from COMM 325 Multicultural Communication or ENGL 359 World Literature. At least 16 credits must be taken abroad, typically through ACA. Elective courses taken through ACA must carry a language prefix (ARAB, FREN, GRMN, ITAL, PORT, or SPAN).
