SPED 222 Methods of Teaching and Learning in Inclusive Classrooms

In this course, candidates are exposed to the evidence-based methods, concepts, and skills needed for teachers to be able to include students with exceptional needs in the general education classrooms. Adapting environment, evidence-based instructional methods and the use of assessment to accommodate the needs of diverse student populations are emphasized. Candidates will learn how to use data to make instructional decisions and monitor student growth in content areas (mathematics, science, and social studies).
