MATH 214 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers

Designed to help the prospective elementary school teacher develop a deep understanding of topics typically covered in the K-8 mathematics curriculum. Topics include problem solving strategies, sets, numeration systems, arithmetic, divisibility, proportions, algebraic and functional reasoning, graphing, fundamental geometry, measurements, and an introduction to probability and statistics. This course does not apply towards a major or minor in mathematics.
