CHEM 442 Inorganic Chemistry

Study of the physical and chemical properties of inorganic and coordination compounds. Focus is on reaction mechanisms and the relationship between structure and reactivity. Places emphasis on the use of molecular orbital, ligand field, and crystal field theories as tools to understanding the structure and reactivity of inorganic compounds. Sections on coordination compounds will highlight synthesis, reactivity trends, and recent advances in coordination chemistry. Offered on demand.
