SOWK 505 Writing and Scholarship
Study of the principles of professional writing and appraisal of social science research. The course will examine the principles of scientific methods as applied to social work and the professional epistemological debate. Various designs and basic research methods, and anti-oppressive research theories are presented. The elements of the research process such as problem formulation, empirical literature review, operationalization, instrumentation, scaling, sampling, and data collection will be presented.
