SPED 430 Professional Skills in Special Education

Legal aspects of special education, individualized education plans, roles and responsibilities of teachers, collaboration techniques, service delivery/design, and supervision of paraprofessionals. Emphasis is placed on issues related to professionalism and ethical practice, including conducting professional activities in compliance with applicable special education laws and policies/regulations.
