ECON 410 Comparative Economic Development
Students will explore the differences in economic growth and development of countries and regions and will study the sources of their diversity. Key topics include the major economic systems (market, planned, and socialistic), the role of institutions, and how history and culture interrelate with economic theory and practice. Students will critically analyze economic development theories and discuss how sustainable economic growth and development can be achieved for all citizens. Prerequisites:
ECON 211.
