VISA 285 Ceramics: Wheel Throwing

This is an introductory clay class.  Students are introduced to basic and intermediate wheel throwing techniques. Aesthetic possibilities and relationships will be explored through the acquisition of basic clay skills and processes, increasing craftsmanship, and attention to design, and surface consideration. While exploring material and conceptual concerns, we will also look into historical context and contemporary expressive use of clay as an art medium. (Course fees apply.)
