VISA 184 Ceramics: Hand Building

Introduction to basic hand building techniques. Aesthetic possibilities and relationships are explored through the acquisition of basic clay skills and processes, increasing craftsmanship, and attention to design, and surface consideration. Exploration of historical context and contemporary expressive use of clay as an art medium. Credit cannot be earned for both VISA 184 and VISA 284. Will not apply to a fine art, film, or graphic design major. (Course fees apply.)
